Juggling Elephants II
Mr.
Hines and I have officially read two-thirds of Juggling Elephants by Jones Loflin and Todd Musig. That means we
have covered pages forty-five through ninety-five. The reflection in these
pages is part of what will help me prepare for my Teach Ag journey.
In the next fifty pages of Juggling Elephants, it starts by focusing
on Mark pondering Victors comment, “Three Rings to Remember.” After the circus
was over this made Mark want to make his own circus and divided his life into
three rings. The first ring showcasing Professional, the second ring showcasing
Self, and the third ring showcasing Relationship. After reading how Mark
divided his life circus, it made me want to do the same. Below, Mr. Hines and I
started building an outlook of one week of our life circus into the same three
rings.

It is important to remember that the
relationship between Mr. Hines (ringmaster) rings and him (performers) affects
the success of his life (circus). In
addition, the relationship between my rings and me affects the success of my
life. Every ring is important and each ring has to be fully engaged to have a
successful life. Mr. Hines and I cannot
have one ring consume our lives.
This is important to me, as I get
ready for my Teach Ag Journey this coming year. As I engage myself in more
Professional and Relationship rings, I still need to remember to keep a
balance, and not to forget about myself along the way.
