On Saturday, February 3rd-4th the Cowanesque FFA got the opportunity to take nine members to the 2018 ACES conference. ACES stands for Agricultural Cooperation Establishes Success. Through this conference the Cowanesque FFA members were able to engage in workshops on Agriculture Literacy, Respecting Diversity, FFA Skills/Opportunities, Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, and Financial Skills- Ag Choice Farm Credit.
In the workshops the Cowanesque FFA members were able to meet other FFA members from across the state of Pennsylvania. They got to learn about being a leader in agriculture, they made friends, and they made memories that will last a life time together!
This group of Cowanesque FFA members are a special group of individuals. Their are students that have rich agricultural backgrounds, and others that are growing a passion for agriculture in the classroom. Each of these students are hardworking and passionate individuals that I feel confident in saying, that they will impact the future of the agricultural industry! These 9 individuals will be leaders because of love.
"Faith, hope, and love were some good things he gave us, but the greatest is LOVE." With love these FFA members will be able to accomplish anything that will come their way. They will not let a bad situation defeat them. Cowanesque FFA members love growing up on a farm, they love learning about agriculture, and they love FFA. With love they can accomplish it all!
I believe in these students! I believe in the future of agriculture.
Heather, Please remember we are seeking less "play by play" and more struggling with "WHY" - Why spend time engaging and encouraging students to do this type of thing?
