Classroom management
Preparing for student teaching the number one thing that I am afraid of is classroom management. I am afraid of this because this paves the way to how the rest of the year will go. Coming into a school that is used to one teachers one can be extremely difficult. But, I have learned I have to be narrow minded and set my own classroom management expectations. My goal is to make my classroom a positive learning environment for all the students.
Having these positive expectations for my student and myself helps make a positive learning environment. Also, this will help everyone reach higher standards. I don’t want my students to be molds. I want them to get more out of the content than they expect.
The two most important groups of people, as far as young people are concerned are parents and teachers. That’s why it is important that teachers have a positive expectations for the first day of school. Create a classroom climate that communicates positive expectations. The teacher goes to professional meetings to keep learning and growing. And has personal goals on expectations.
I want to be able to say the following about my expectations:
•What we achieve comes from how we work together.
•I believe that every child will succeed and is capable of learning to their full potential.
•The student and I are always learning.
When googling Positive Classroom Management I came across this very informative video and I suggest it to anyone to watch!
