Effective Question

At a young age we learn to ask questions. The favorite question to ask when we are young is why? As we grow older we start realizing that asking why is a meaningful question. Why is the same type of questions we volunteer to answer too.
Students want a better understanding on material being taught in the classroom. They do not want to answer questions that are difficult; however, how do we make students want to answer difficult questions? Students may be able to handle difficult questions if the questions are effective.
What are effective questions?

When using effective question it is the teachers job to listen and understand a students meaning behind their answer. This means that the teacher really needs to pay attention to the person who is talking and know that there is not one correct answer to why.
